EASA publishes Sustainable Aviation Fuels report on EU market
The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has published a report detailing the market surrounding Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) in the EU.
The report, titled ‘State of the EU SAF market in 2023’, highlights the reference prices for different fuels available under the ReFuelEU Aviation Regulation, an assessment on SAF production capacity in the EU, and an outline of emerging trends in the SAF production market.
The report aims to provide a comprehensive analysis and valuable insights regarding the potential of SAF in a commercial capacity and how it can contribute to decarbonisation goals. The report serves as a precursor to the first EASA annual technical report, which will be published next year.
