Vienna Airport goes live with extended AOP-NOP integration
Vienna Airport has become the first airport to successfully deploy the extended integration between the Airport Operations Plan (AOP) and the Network Operations Plan (NOP). The new capability allows the airport to provide Predicted Departure Planning Information (P-DPI) messages to EUROCONTROL’s Network Manager up to five days before a flight’s planned off-block time, based on traffic schedules and including information on cancellations.
The earlier availability of this information can support more accurate traffic forecasting and help anticipate operational constraints, particularly during periods of disruption. It also provides the Network Manager with better situational awareness and supports closer coordination between airports and the European air traffic management network.
The initiative is being delivered as part of Connecting Europe Facility projects, co-funded by CINEA and coordinated with the SESAR Deployment Manager. Vienna Airport, EUROCONTROL’s Network Manager and the other stakeholders involved are now working towards extending the integration to additional airports.
