SESAR JU unveils shortlisted projects for 2023 Digital European Sky Awards

The SESAR 3 JU has announced nine shortlisted candidates for the SESAR Digital European Sky Awards 2023. The 2023 edition of the SESAR 3 JU awards aims to celebrate successful SESAR 2020 projects and achievements across all three strands of research that make up the SESAR innovation pipeline: exploratory research, industrial research and demonstration.

A distinguished panel, including among others the ACI EUROPE Director General, Olivier Jankovec, evaluated around thirty contributions to make a shortlist of the nine most exemplary projects. The jury assessed the degree to which project deliverables are demonstrating excellence in technological innovation, their potential to have a positive long-term impact on ATM performance, as well as their overall contribution to the SESAR programme. 

The shortlisted projects will now progress to the next stage in the process whereby the wider ATM community and public will be able to find out more about their work and vote for their favourite at the Airspace World event, 9 March 2023, in Geneva.
