Updated health safety rules for travel welcomed

11th May saw the publication of an updated Aviation Health Safety Protocol, issued by EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency) and the ECDC (European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control). The update, which advised upon the progressive de-escalation of protective measures aimed at limiting the risk of COVID-19 infection during travel, was welcomed by airports across Europe.

The industry thanked EASA and the ECDC for their continued engagement with airports as the goals of keeping staff and passengers safe whilst keeping in step with the decreasing epidemiological risk are balanced.
