Torino goes green: first Italian airport with electric ambulance

Torino is the first airport in Italy, and one of the first in Europe, to be equipped with a CO2-neutral vehicle to provide medical assistance to passengers and the airport community.

The introduction of this electric vehicle is part of Torino Airport’s sustainability efforts, and more specifically its objective to reach net zero CO2 by 2050.

The ambulance is fitted with lithium batteries, efficient solar panels, and a recyclable interior. It is also prioritising safety with reflective paintwork and enhanced visibility systems.

This pioneering initiative marks a significant step towards a greener future of airport rescue services.
