The EU-China Aviation Partnership Project plans online workshops for European and Chinese stakeholders
In October, EASA and the Civil Aviation Authority of China under the auspices of the EU-China Aviation Partnership Project will hold two online workshops about Airport Operations Management (10-11 Oct) and Runway Occupancy Time (16-17 Oct).
Airport Operations Management Workshop
10-11 October 2023, online
The EU-China Aviation Partnership Project (APP) will organise a workshop to exchange on best practices in airport operations management, with a focus on regulations related to the provision of ground handling services and implementation in Europe through the presentation of use cases. This event will take place online from 10 to 11 October, for the respective European and Chinese authorities as well as airport operators and associations to share their insights.

Runway Occupancy Time (ROT) Workshop
16-17 October 2023, online
Runway occupancy time (ROT) plays an important role in the runway capacity for arriving and departing flights. ROT is generally measured from the time the aircraft touches down until the time it is clear of the runway. For departures, the time starts when the aircraft enters the runway and stops as soon as it is airborne. Factors that influence ROT include for example runway construction, weather and runway condition, aircraft type, and pilots experience.
On 16 and 17 October, the EU-China Aviation Partnership Project (APP) will organise an online workshop for European and Chinese stakeholders to exchange on the definitions, analyses and improvements of Runway Occupancy Time (ROT). The content of this workshop will be led by EUROCONTROL and ATMB, and aims to increase mutual understanding of Chinese and European practices concerning ROT.
