Simply the best: ACI EUROPE’s awards recognise true excellence across the European airport industry

The ACI EUROPE Best Airport Awards have become the hallmark of airport excellence over the years. The winners of this year’s edition were announced at the Gala Dinner of the ACI EUROPE/World Annual General Assembly, Conference and Exhibition, hosted by Aena.

The awards not only acknowledge excellence but also emphasize sustainability, innovation, operational efficiency, and resilience. Best Airports are divided into five groups based on 2019 passenger traffic (under 5 million, 5-10 million, 10-25 million, 25-40 million, and over 40 million). An additional five special category awards are also given to honour outstanding performance in the areas of Accessibility, Digital Transformation, Eco-Innovation, Human Resources and World Business Partner.

The ACI EUROPE Best Airport Awards for 2023 have shone a spotlight on remarkable achievements in the aviation industry. The winners and highly commended airports in various categories have exemplified excellence, sustainability, and innovation, setting a benchmark for the industry to follow. These awards not only celebrate their achievements but also inspire others to strive for greatness in shaping the future of airports.
