Schiphol Airport unveils €6 billion investment plan
Royal Schiphol Group has announced a €6 billion investment plan, the largest in the airport’s history, to be implemented over the next five years. This significant investment aims to overhaul Schiphol’s infrastructure, improve working conditions, and enhance service for passengers and airlines. The plan addresses critical upgrades, including substantial renovations of Pier C, the baggage basement, and essential climate-control systems.
CEO Pieter van Oord has stressed the importance of this investment in restoring passenger satisfaction and service quality. The plan also includes efforts to reduce environmental impact and improve employee conditions, ensuring Schiphol remains a leading global airport while balancing growth with sustainability.
