Riga Airport and Uzbekistan Airports to start cooperation in the field of aviation training
Riga Airport and the Uzbekistan airport operator Uzbekistan Airports have signed a memorandum of cooperation in aviation training.
Through the memorandum, the Training Centre of Riga Airport, accredited by Airports Council International (ACI), will export its training offering to Central Asia, while establishing closer direct contacts with specialists of the Uzbek aviation industry and potential training participants. Overall, the development will strengthen the competitiveness of the Riga Airport Training Centre in the Central Asian region.
The memorandum of cooperation was signed on 2 November by Laila Odiņa, Chairperson of the Board of Riga Airport, and Javlonbek Umarkhojaev, Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Airports, within the framework of the international logistics exhibition “Trans Logistica” held in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan.
