Record-breaking ACI EUROPE / World Annual Congress and General Assembly unites airport industry in Barcelona
ACI EUROPE’s 33rd Annual Congress and General Assembly, hosted 26-28 June in Barcelona by Spanish operator Aena and incorporating ACI World’s annual ‘WAGA’ gathering, raised the bar in terms of size and strength of the event, with over 800 delegates in attendance.
Participants heard from over 50 speakers, presenters and panellists as topics ranging from customer experience and data access to people management and regulatory challenges were explored. With investment and innovation in sustainability inevitably underpinning executive thinking, it was fitting to not only unpick the progress of the industry to net zero but to celebrate the milestone of surpassing 500 airports globally now participating in the Airport Carbon Accreditation Programme.
The ACI EUROPE Best Airport Awards, networking events, a host of new MoUs between institutions and industry and a vibrant press corps all combined to create the most significant moment of the airport industry calendar.
More information on all the announcements and sessions can be found on ACI EUROPE’s website.
It was announced at the event that ACI EUROPE’s 34th Annual Congress and General Assembly will take place in June 2024, hosted by iGA Istanbul Grand Airport.
