RACE ’23 Workshops: Unpacking the core issues facing regional airports

Looking for practical working sessions to tackle some of the biggest challenges facing smaller and regional airports across Europe? Look no further than RACE ’23! In a brand new format for our second conference day, we’re excited to offer three concurrent workshops exploring key issues in the industry.

First up, we have got Route Development with our renowned session leader, George Karamanos. He’ll be covering everything from data sources to co-marketing activities with airlines, and asking whether it’s time for leisure-driven airports to pass route development responsibility to local tourism authorities.

Next, we will delve into Innovation and the technologies that are supporting accessibility, resilience, and environmental sustainability. Our expert speakers, led by Olivier Mongenie of the SESAR Joint Undertaking, will discuss emerging trends in automation, virtualisation, big data analytics, and drone technology, and show how technological solutions are helping airports enhance their efficiency and provide a better passenger experience.

Finally, we’ll address the vital issue of Employment. ACI World’s Dimitri Coll will lead the discussion on workforce challenges, including employee experience and engagement, management of employee experience, drivers of engagement, and how to break through the current challenges of recruitment and retention.

Each workshop combines case studies from airports, panel discussion, and interactive debate for tangible takeaways. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to be a part of these exciting workshops at RACE ’23!
