PPL signs agreement with CPK to join “Port Polska” airport project as strategic investor
Polskie Porty Lotnicze (PPL) has signed an agreement with Centralny Port Komunikacyjny (CPK) to join the development of the newly minted “Port Polska” airport. Under the deal, PPL will become a shareholder in the company Port Polska.Lotnisko, which will be responsible for building and managing the new airport.
The agreement outlines the terms of cooperation between the two entities, with the aim to ensure stable financing and coordinated efforts in the airport’s development. CPK emphasised that involving PPL brings valuable experience in managing airport infrastructure in Poland and represents a key step in the consolidation of the Polish air transport sector, guaranteeing the retention of profits within the country.
As part of the agreement, PPL also gains the option to increase its shareholding in the future. The partnership is part of broader efforts to structure the investment model for the project, ahead of further stakeholder engagement and preparation for the construction phase.
More information is available in the PPL’s press release, here (in Polish).
