Polish Airports now offer Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF)
Warsaw Chopin, Kraków John Paul II, and Katowice airports have started offering Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), marking a step forward in Poland’s efforts to make air travel more climate-friendly. The introduction of SAF at these airports supports both national and EU goals to reduce emissions from aviation.
With SAF now available as part of the regular fuel supply, airlines operating from Poland have better access to low‑emission alternative that works with existing aircraft. The move is especially important as EU regulations, such as ReFuelEU Aviation, mandate a 2% use of sustainable fuels in the sector starting this year.
