Munich Airport to host new Technical University campus
Munich Airport will soon be home to a new campus for the Technical University of Munich (TUM), as part of the airport’s LabCampus innovation hub, facilitating collaboration and cross-sector exchange between international companies, start-ups, and young talent.
The new campus will cover over 20,000 square metres and feature a “Convergence Centre” where students, researchers, and businesses can collaborate on innovative projects. Key research areas will include aviation, mobility, robotics, and security.
The TUM Sustainable and Future Aviation Center, which will focus on developing sustainable and efficient aviation solutions, will also be established at the new campus in partnership with Lufthansa and Munich Airport, by end of 2025.
