Munich Airport opens inclusive security checkpoint in Terminal 2
Munich Airport has introduced a new inclusive security checkpoint in Terminal 2, designed to better support passengers with diverse needs. The area is fully barrier-free and focuses on providing a more personalised experience, with staff guiding travellers through the process instead of relying on automated boarding pass controls.
The checkpoint has been designed with accessibility and comfort in mind, particularly for passengers with reduced mobility, non-visible disabilities, and families with children. Staff adapt the pace of the screening process to individual needs, while features such as a bright layout and short films help create a calmer environment.
