Members of SESAR Deployment Manager meet in Geneva, hosted by Genève Aéroport
ACI EUROPE joined the 2024 SDIP Annual Conference of Executives, hosted by Genève Aéroport. The event was an occasion for the SDM members to take stock of the high level results from ATM investments coordinated by the SESAR Deployment Manager.
Over 40% of the CP1 functionalities are live, delivering tangible sustainability benefits to the European Union with 7.2 million tonnes of CO2 saved and 2.3 million tonnes of fuel saved.
Aviation industry leaders gathered at the event discussed the results achieved together so far in modernising Air Traffic Management, whilst also confirming their commitment to carry on the common journey to make European aviation safer, better performing and more environmentally sustainable.
Mariagrazia La Piscopia, SDM Executive director, commented: “It was refreshing to see our Members confirm and strongly renew their support to the work that the SESAR Deployment Manager is doing to modernize ATM operations for the benefit of European passengers. I want to thank Airlines, ANSPs, Airports and the Network Manager for their commitment to continue working together, as we further accelerate ATM modernisation to help addressing the existing and new challenges of our industry”.
