MAG unveils five-year strategy for youth engagement and sustainability
Manchester Airports Group (MAG), which runs Manchester, London Stansted, and East Midlands airports, has launched a five-year sustainability plan with a strong focus on young people and the environment. One of its main goals is to inspire 70,000 young people to explore careers in aviation through school programmes, apprenticeships, and training partnerships.
As part of the strategy, MAG will expand its Aerozones (learning centres at the airports) and work with local colleges to prepare students for jobs in the sector. At the same time, the group aims for net-zero airport operations by 2038 and plans to utilise more renewable energy, reduce plastic waste, and support local businesses through new initiatives.
The plan shows MAG’s intention to invest not only in cleaner operations but also in the next generation of aviation professionals.
