Here is a snapshot of ACI EUROPE’s external engagements in the past weeks.

14 December 2021: Virginia Lee, ACI EUROPE’s Director: Communications and Media took part in a webinar organised by Olbia Airport in partnership with Assaeroporti and Tourism Authority of the Region of Sardinia. The webinar’s main focus was the role of airports in developing tourism destinations, in particular in the context of the COVID-19 crisis. She joined a panel including representatives of Olbia Airport, Alghero Airport, Malta Airport, Athens Airport and Expedia. The session was moderator by Leonard Berberi, journalist for the Italian national Corriere della Sera.

8 December 2021: ACI EUROPE’s Olivier Jankovec (Director General) and Morgan Foulkes (Deputy Director General) attended meetings with the Cypriot Minister of Transport, Communications and Works, Yiannis Karousos. Discussions touched on the need for EU to better promote recovery in air connectivity along with sustainability.

8 December 2021: ACI EUROPE’s Head of Sustainability, Marina Bylinsky was a guest speaker on the 119th episode of Avia Dev Europe’s podcast. She spoke to Juraj Toth about all things Airport Carbon Accreditation, the only institutionally-endorsed, global carbon management certification programme for airports, developed at ACI.

26 November 2021: Marina Bylinsky took part in a round table discussion on the topic of “SAF: a priority for the decarbonisation of aviation”, as part of the UAF & FA Annual Congress held at the Belfry of Montrouge. The other panelists included: Joël Navaron (Total Energies Aviation), Philippe Novelli (ONERA – The French Aerospace Lab) and Laurent Timsit (Fédération Nationale de l’Aviation Marchande).

17 November 2021: ACI EUROPE senior executives welcomed Board Member & Director of Airports of Montenegro Goran Jandreoski and his Deputy Petar Radulovic, accompanied by the Montenegrin Ministry of Capital Investments delegation, Zoran Radunovic & Milica Micunovic.
