Hermes Airports inaugurates the photovoltaic parks at Larnaka and Pafos airports
Hermes Airports has inaugurated a photovoltaic park at Larnaka Airport enabling the reduction of more than 3,850 tonnes of CO₂ annually.
Coupled with the photovoltaic park installed at Pafos Airport, this solar effort will cover 28% of both airports’ energy needs, an equivalent of the energy consumption of 1,320 households
The Transport Minister commended Hermes Airports’ role in the green transition of Cyprus, urging other companies to follow suit.
Larnaka park is expected to generate 6 million kWh yearly, with Pafos park producing 1.9 million kWh.
