Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport joins ACI EUROPE
Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport, one of Poland’s three most important international airports, along with Warsaw and Krakow, joined ACI EUROPE as a Regular Member.
It serves approximately 90 routes across Europe, operated by 10 airlines. In 2023, the airport welcomed almost 6 million passengers, and in 2024, it is expected to exceed this mark. The airport is implementing an innovative commercial strategy, investing in the construction of a new office district, Airport City Gdańsk. Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport is also involved in social and charity activities and supports local culture and sports.
“We have taken another step in the continuous development of Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport by joining the distinguished community of ACI EUROPE members. The association’s members serve 90% of air passenger traffic in Europe. We are excited about the new opportunities opening up to us through this partnership”, said Tomasz Kloskowski, president of Gdańsk Airport.
Olivier Jankovec, ACI EUROPE Director General, said “It is my great pleasure to welcome Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport as a member and congratulate them on joining the 550+ strong European airport community brought together within ACI EUROPE. I look forward to fruitful cooperation with GDN, notably across our key airport industry priorities: sustainability and decarbonisation, operational excellence and passenger experience, innovation and best practice sharing. Witamy!”
We are thrilled to welcome Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport and look forward to a successful collaboration in the coming years!
