Frankfurt Airport introduces Short Connection Pass for transferring passengers
In order to reduce stress for passengers with tight transfers, Frankfurt Airport has launched a Short Connection Pass. The Pass is a pilot project that allows passengers to navigate security faster, save time, and ultimately reduce stress.
Passengers with a time-critical connection can apply for a short connection pass, allowing them to use the Fast Lane at security. Time-critical flights are also showcased on monitors at the fast lanes, as the platform leverages real-time data to optimise such connections. Each measure is designed to ensure efficiency for these time-sensitive transfers, reducing stress and anxiety, leading to the enhancement of passenger experience.
The initiative, launched as part of a pilot project in late August, is a collaboration between Fraport, FraAlliance, and Aviation Solutions – and has been such a success, the scheme will continue for the remainder of 2024 and potentially beyond.
