European Commission launches information pack for EU Entry/Exit System deployment
To support the launch of the new EU Entry/Exit System (EES) on 12 October 2025, the European Commission has developed a comprehensive information pack for transport operators.
The information pack, available in multiple languages, includes posters, infographics, videos, and social media visuals designed to assist airports and other stakeholders in raising awareness among passengers.
The EES is an automated IT system for registering non-EU nationals travelling for a short stay. The EES aims to modernise border management by increasing efficiency and quality of processes at the border, as well as simplifying travel for passengers. European countries using the EES will introduce the system gradually at their external borders. At airports, this will gradually change the flow of border checks for some passengers.
For airports, clear communication will be essential to help passengers understand changes to their airport journey and maintain excellent passenger experience. Airports can prepare their passengers for the gradual rollout of the system through utilising the provided communications campaigns and key visuals.
