EUROCONTROL calls for European aviation stakeholders to pitch innovation projects
To speed up digital progress in European aviation, EUROCONTROL has launched the Air Transport Innovation Network (EATIN), led by its Innovation Hub in Brétigny. The goal of EATIN is to bring digital solutions closer to aviation end-users and help them adopt new technologies more quickly and efficiently.
EATIN focuses on solving real ‘Operational Challenges’ identified by airspace users, airports, and air navigation service providers (ANSPs). EUROCONTROL aims to work closely with these partners to develop practical, agile digital solutions tailored to their needs.
Any European aviation stakeholder delivering operational services can pitch ideas for innovation projects. These ideas will be prioritised by the community and reviewed by EUROCONTROL experts based on how useful, realistic, and scalable they are. Proposals must include a short description of the problem, expected benefits, previous work, and what the applicant will contribute (such as data or staff time). Projects are scheduled for six to twelve months, applying an agile approach with a view to shorten innovation cycles.
Proposals for Operational Challenges/Needs should be submitted by email no later than either 4 November 2025 (pitch session 1) or 11 November 2025 (pitch session 2).
