EUROCONTROL and ACI EUROPE sign Memorandum of Understanding – underpinning shared vision and goals for European aviation
Eamonn Brennan, Director General of Eurocontrol, and Olivier Jankovec, Director General of ACI EUROPE, have jointly signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the two organisations, signalling enhanced co-operation and a joint commitment to aviation’s successful and sustainable future.
The two organisations already enjoy a long history of successful collaboration, and the new Understanding takes the many shared commonalities into a new chapter for aviation – with a particular focus on operational efficiency and sustainability.
The agreement builds a framework of co-operation around these two pillars of efficient air transport and sustainable air transport. On efficiencies, there is a focus on increased integration between operations in and around airport and Air Traffic Management, with a view to collaborative decision making. Sustainable air transport is realised, through the continued development an outreach of Airport Carbon Accreditation and the continued collaborative roll out of EUROCONTROL’s Collaborative Environmental Management (CEM).
