Edinburgh Airport has officially opened its on-site STEM centre this month, in order to inspire the next generation of young people into aviation careers.
The centre, opened on International Women’s Day, is designed to host an entire school class with sessions delivered by volunteers in various roles across the airport, including IT, engineering and analytics.
Sessions will include showcasing the wide array of STEM roles available at the airport, interacting STEM experiments designed to spark curiosity and highlight problem-solving skills needed in airport roles, and opportunities to be inspired about a future career in STEM.
