Brussels Airport unveils major investment plan for the future
Brussels Airport has announced an ambitious plan for a significant expansion of its infrastructure, representing its largest investment in 30 years. The project, designed to meet future passenger growth and enhance the travel experience, includes the construction of a new intermodal hub connecting train, bus, and the future tram services; an expansion of the departure and arrival halls; a new four-star hotel; a redesigned drop-off zone; and the development of a green boulevard with a park.
The focus of these developments is on improving accessibility, sustainability, and passenger comfort. Features include more spacious terminal areas, better connections between different modes of transport, and sustainable technologies such as solar panels and geothermal energy systems.
Work is scheduled to commence at the end of 2026, with the various phases of the project to be completed by 2032.
Through these investments, Brussels Airport is reinforcing its role as a modern, green, and highly connected mobility hub at the heart of Europe.
