Athens International Airport hits milestones of the European Commission co-funded project

Athens International Airport has reached two major milestones of the five‑year programme for the implementation of the Action “Evolution into a high‑performing node within the European Air Traffic Management (ATM) Network”, co‑funded by the European Commission.

The Action is part of the programme of “Connecting Europe Facility – Transport Sector”, concerning EU’s priority to create the Single European Sky.

The first completed milestone refers to the development of the new Advanced Concept of Airport Operations (ConOps), conducted in collaboration with ALG Globe Infrastructure Advisors SLU and Innovare.
The second milestone reached in cooperation with SITA Information Networking Computing B.V. is the commissioning of the new Collaborative Integrated Airport Information Systems, which will form the core platform for high-performing airport operations.
