Amsterdam Airport Schiphol invests €10 billion in airport upgrade
Amsterdam Airport Schiphol has announced plans to invest at least €10 billion over the next decade to enhance the passenger experience. Their plans include a new terminal, upgraded gates and improved access roads – with some budget set aside for investments abroad, including potential stakes in small regional airports.
Despite Schiphol being a ‘capacity-constrained airport’ according to CEO Pieter van Oord, he expects more passengers as airlines deploy larger aircraft. Investments aim to modernise existing piers and create space for wider-body aircraft as a result.
