ACI EUROPE relaunches key service for Airport Operation Centres with a peer review at EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse Freiburg Airport
The ACI EUROPE APOC Peer Review programme is now officially relaunched after a pause due to COVID-19.
ACI EUROPE is offering APOC peer reviews to airports, conducted by ad hoc teams bringing together ground operations experts from other airports and EUROCONTROL’s Network Manager. Based on the exchange of best practices and constructive engagement and reporting, these reviews allow airports to embrace their unique position as masters of their own capacity and performance, through tracking and unlocking latent capacity, further developing their cooperation with Air Traffic Control and enhancing understanding of capacity issues between all operational stakeholders.
The Airport Operations Centre at EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg (BSL) was among the first post-COVID reviews, led by Nick Luongo, Head of Flight Operations at EuroAirport and ACI EUROPE experts, Eugène Leeman and Rick Mernock. The group addressed a wide range of topics, including APOC organisation, facilities, processes, crisis management, performance, training, and stakeholder management. The review praised EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg’s mature APOC, with a detailed report expected in a few weeks.
