ACI EUROPE Best Airport Awards 2026: apply now!
Submissions are now open for the 2026 ACI EUROPE Best Airport Awards, recognising excellence, innovation, and leadership across Europe’s airport industry.
Airports of all sizes are encouraged to take part, with submissions free of charge for all eligible ACI EUROPE members. Airports may apply for multiple awards, and the submission process has been streamlined through a question-and-answer format.
The awards ceremony will take place on 23 June 2026 during the Gala Dinner of the ACI EUROPE Annual Congress & General Assembly in Prague, Czech Republic.
This year’s award categories are:
- Best Airport by Traffic Size: recognising airports that demonstrate excellence across operational efficiency, passenger experience and environmental, social and governance (ESG) impact. Airports compete in five traffic categories, ranging from under 5 million to over 40 million passengers per annum,
- Eco-Innovation Award: in partnership with Airport Carbon Accreditation, this award celebrates airports that have delivered outstanding environmental projects in areas such as climate change, noise management, biodiversity and wildlife management, air quality or the circular economy,
- Digital Transformation Award: in partnership with the SESAR Joint Undertaking, this ward recognises airports that have embraced digitalisation and innovative technologies to improve safety, capacity, efficiency and environmental performance,
- HR Excellence Award: in partnership with the ACI EUROPE HR & Leadership Forum, this award spotlights HR teams that are building the airport workforce of the future, with this year’s focus on the integration and use of Artificial Intelligence into HR processes.
