ACI EUROPE and ICAO EUR/NAT to convene Environmental Protection Seminar in Tashkent

ACI EUROPE and the International Civil Aviation Organization’s European and North Atlantic Office, ICAO EUR/NAT, will convene the joint Environmental Protection Seminar in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, from 7 to 9 October 2026.

Hosted by the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the seminar will bring together representatives of civil aviation authorities, airport authorities and other aviation stakeholders from across the region. It will provide a forum to review environmental priorities, share recent developments and discuss the challenges and opportunities shaping the sector’s response to environmental issues.

The programme will place particular emphasis on knowledge sharing and practical solutions, taking account of regional specificities and the differing needs of States. Discussions will cover the evolving role of airports as energy hubs, measures to reduce emissions from airport operations, sustainable aviation fuels, innovation and emerging technologies, as well as approaches to green airport design, management and sustainability strategy.

The event builds on the cooperation between ACI EUROPE and ICAO EUR/NAT to support environmental action across the aviation sector.

The Joint Environmental Protection Seminar will take place at the Hilton Tashkent City Conference Hall, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan and the registration is free of charge.
