€141 million given to SESAR Deployment Manager projects designed to accelerate modernisation of European Sky

Two SESAR Deployment Manager projects – ‘CLEAN ATM 2’ and ‘GREEN CNS’ – have been awarded Grant Agreements of €141 million (total), following the 2023 Connecting Europe Facility for Transport call for proposals.

These initiatives bring together approximately 50 operational stakeholders from across Europe, including airports, airlines, the EUROCONTROL Network Manager and air navigation service providers. For the first time, Ukrainian air navigation service provider UkSATSE will also participate, a crucial further step for integrating Ukraine into the European Air Traffic Management network.

The projects aim to significantly advance the efficiency, digitalisation and environmental sustainability of Air Traffic Management in Europe. Together, they will help mobilise over €275 million of investment in order to drive meaningful change for the future of the European transport sector.
